Game, Set, Growth: ATP Unleashes Global 2026 Calendar, Solidifying the 'OneVision' Era

The world of men's professional tennis has a clear path forward. The ATP has officially released its full 2026 Tour calendar, a sweeping 59-tournament schedule spanning 29 countries, which, alongside the four Grand Slams, marks another definitive step in the organization's long-term modernization strategy, dubbed OneVision.

This blueprint for the future is designed to do three things: elevate the experience for fans and players, strengthen the economic health of the ecosystem, and ultimately make the game bigger on the global stage. Stability anchors the season, but targeted, strategic changes show the ATP is not afraid to evolve.

The Power Structure: A Tour Built for Scale

The 2026 season maintains a powerful hierarchy of events, focusing the highest attention and points on the biggest stops while ensuring a vibrant global footprint.

The Masters 1000 remains the Tour’s economic engine, accounting for the biggest gains in revenue and player compensation.

The Masters 1000: Longer and Richer

Central to the growth strategy is the further expansion of the Masters 1000 series. Seven of the nine premium events will now operate in the enhanced 12-day format. This move, aimed at maximizing fan engagement and adding value, has been a cornerstone of the OneVision plan, which has already delivered record player compensation over the past two years through an expanded profit-sharing model at the Masters level.

The 2026 calendar is a reflection of everything we have worked toward through OneVision. It is built to make the fan experience better, grow our tournaments and deliver more value for players.— Andrea Gaudenzi, ATP Chairman

Expanded 12-day windows allow tournaments to increase attendance, broadcast reach and on-site activation time.

Strategic Tweaks: Cleaner Corridors and a Welcome Return

While the anchor events remain in place, several calculated scheduling shifts have been implemented for 2026, primarily to improve the flow of the season, creating cleaner surface transitions and more predictable travel corridors for the players.

  • Estoril Returns: The beloved clay-court event in Estoril, Portugal, returns to the calendar as an ATP 250 in July, providing a new opportunity in the mid-season.
  • Marseille Shifts: The indoor event moves from its traditional February slot to October.
  • Stockholm Moves: The indoor tournament is pushed back deeper into November, closer to the end of the regular season.
  • Metz Discontinued: The long-running French event is officially removed from the schedule.

The 2026 calendar removes several tight transitions that previously forced players to switch surfaces too quickly.

Unmatched Global Reach

The ATP boasts a phenomenal global footprint that few professional sports can match, reporting more than 5.5 million spectators across live events each year, with its content consumed by over one billion followers on digital platforms. The 2026 calendar’s reach across 29 countries ensures this global connection only strengthens.

The message is clear: the ATP is committed to maximizing the sport's commercial potential while prioritizing player welfare and providing a more compelling, continuous narrative for fans around the world.

The Tour delivers competitive tennis nearly every week of the year, offering rare continuity in global sports.
